TIEVA has partnered with Goldstar since March 2023, supporting their Microsoft 365 and Azure environments, delivering ongoing project work, and providing day-to-day account management and support services. Services include Managed Backup, Mimecast Email Gateway, and regular procurement of end-user devices such as laptops and PCs.
Before working with TIEVA, Goldstar relied on a large IT services provider for licensing, purchasing, and managed cloud services. But when their trusted Account Manager left the business, the quality of service changed dramatically. The relationship became increasingly transactional. Prices steadily rose, and the commercial model in place - particularly for cloud support – didn’t incentivise efficiency. In fact, with support tiers based on usage, the previous provider had no reason to help reduce consumption. Goldstar were left feeling unsupported and locked into an arrangement that didn’t align with their goals.
TIEVA took a different approach - one that felt collaborative from the outset. What started with a simple purchasing order quickly evolved into a full-service partnership.
TIEVA now provides Goldstar with licensing, procurement, and fully managed Microsoft 365 and Azure services. Crucially, their fixed-rate support model means there’s no link between consumption and support costs - so the TIEVA team is incentivised to help drive efficiencies, not inflate usage. That’s exactly what they’ve done. Over the past 12 months, TIEVA has worked closely with Goldstar to optimise their cloud environment, identify areas of wastage, and reduce unnecessary spend. In that time, Goldstar’s Azure costs have dropped by 51.2%, delivering substantial savings that can be reinvested into other critical IT priorities.
But the partnership hasn’t stopped there. The savings have allowed Goldstar to invest in critical security initiatives, including a 12-month Microsoft 365 security roadmap. The two teams worked side by side to audit their environment, implement improvements, and move towards Microsoft’s recommended best practices.

The results of the partnership have been both measurable and meaningful. Goldstar has achieved a 50% reduction in Microsoft 365 and Azure support and consumption costs, thanks to TIEVA’s fixed-rate model and proactive optimisation. That freed-up budget has been reinvested into key IT priorities, including enhanced backup solutions and a secure email gateway.
Beyond cost savings, Goldstar now operates with a far stronger security posture, following a collaborative 12-month Microsoft 365 security roadmap designed to align with best practice. The working relationship itself has become a major asset - responsive, consistent, and genuinely collaborative. With a new networking project on the horizon, Goldstar sees TIEVA not just as a service provider, but as a long-term partner in its technology evolution.
